Name Linus Bourque
Location Canada
About Linus Linus Bourque has been with VMware for over 19 years. He started his career with VMware as part of the Canadian Support office as a TSE/Escalation Engineer. After missing teaching for a while, he moved over to VMware’s Education team as a senior instructor and today is part of the Americas Education Tech Lead team, where he has been the lead instructor for a variety of End-User Computing courses over the last 14 years (covering topics such as Horizon with View; Mirage; ThinApp; App Volumes; Dynamic Environment Manager; and most recently, Horizon Cloud on Azure). In addition, he has also been involved in the creation of various Desktop and Mobility certifications including the VCP, VCAP/VCIX and VCDX as well as certifying new instructors (VCIs). Linus has also presented multiple times at VMworld (both in the US and EMEA) and is a published author. Linus met his wife in NYC and then moved to Los Angeles. In May 2020 Linus moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia with his wife and their three cats. Upon arriving, much to the dismay of the cats, they acquired a Golden Retriever puppy to add to the clan. When not teaching, he actively battles on against the Alliance (FOR THE HORDE!) in Warcraft and forever in search for the perfect single malt and cigar pairing.
